Elizabeth
Floriani is an associate attorney at Costa, Abrams & Coate, LLP. Her practice covers a broad range of corporate and IP
transactional and litigation matters, with a focus on intellectual
property and trademark law. She
also handles a variety of corporate due diligence matters and assists our
clients in handling trademark applications and copyright registrations
before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the United States
Copyright Office.
Ms.
Floriani graduated from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles in 1993
with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in
Marketing. In 1999, she received her Juris Doctor degree from Pepperdine
University School of Law in Malibu, California.
While at Pepperdine, Ms. Floriani interned with Sony Pictures
Entertainment litigation department, Paramount Pictures Television/Legal
department, and with legal affairs at an international film distribution
company.
Apart
from work, Ms. Floriani, a childhood competitive figure skater for 11
years, coaches skating part-time and has been pursuing her own competitive
skating now as an adult. In
2004, she won the Senior Masters division at the U.S. Adult Nationals and
the following year, in 2005, captured the Championship Masters Ladies
title at the U.S. Adult National Championships.
